color change plate? you are sure if it gets stuck or it sounds when the needle change is the potentiometer

I’m looking for help on a similar machine, problem I having is my floppy drive doesn’t work anymore, tried replacing the floppy still won’t go on . Also replace the cable. Would somebody have a cpu board or the E prom. Would be a great help.

What is a colour change plate? If it gets stuck or makes a noise when the needle changes, you know it's the potentiometer.
