What we are looking for
Operates multi and single head sewing machines to embroider name, initial, or decorative designs on garments, household articles, material, or uniforms and to stitch patches or emblems on material or garments by performing the following duties. This position will work Monday – Friday. Responsibilities Reads work order to determine type and location of embroidery. Enters appropriate art into the embroidery computer system. Selects size and color thread and draws it through machine guides and bobbin. Removes and replaces bobbin when needed. Adjusts & regulates setscrews to control machine tension. Hoops garments utilizing automatic Hooper and installs in the hoop guides. Observes sewing operation to detect defects in stitching that indicate machine malfunction and notifies supervisor of malfunction. Repairs defective embroidery or fills in blanks left by embroidery machine. Uses scissors to trim away backing from decoration.
Job Functions
• Operate embroidery machine to embroider business logos, initials, or decorative designs on merchandise.
• Use embroidery hoops to hold fabric in place during embroidery
• Select correct thread color and guide it through bobbin.
• Processes customer order according to customer specifications utilizing various equipment at full capacity
• Fill orders in a timely and accurate manner
• Prepare and package orders for shipping
• Performs support, Quality Assurance and verifying as needed.
• Assumes additional related responsibilities as required.

Fluent with computers, alphanumeric data and working with small objects (i.e. threading needles). Required education/skills/experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Experience working in a fast-paced production environment. Prior experience with quality control and machine operation preferred.
