fastrip 7.0 & 3000 epson printer

My son started a silk screen bussiness so for Christmas I am thinking of buying him a printer
and a Fastrip Program. I was going to buy it used so I would not break the bank. Would
Fastrip 7.0 and a Epson 3000 Printer do the job for making the positives for tee shirt printing?
Thank you and Happy Holidays

perfect combination but i hear scott frasner is going out of buisness not sure if its true but tech support could be a problem. fast rip is very easy and i have never needed tech support

FastRip is being rebranded as QuickFilm Rip by GDS and is version 10. GDS is made up of former USSPI employees and will continue offering most of Fresners product line, just under different names. I'm also pretty sure they are offering tech support to FastRip users. Their website is garmentdecoratingsupply.com

AccuRip is becoming a popular Rip too.

For a refurbished Epson 3000 with a warranty go to sigmowiggy.com for details.

Hi - I'm new to this site and not sure how to start a new thread, but this one is similar to my question, so thought I'd chime in. Hoping that's ok!

I have FastRip 7.0 as well and have used it on an Epson 1520, then and Epson R1800. Over the years, both have bit the dust. Does anyone know if the 7.0 version of FastRip will work on either the R1400 or the 3000?

Thanks

Go with an epson 1400 with the black max ink setup (www.silkscreeningsupplies.com). Use Accurip for the software, you can try the full version free for 30 days here softwareforscreenprinters.net This setup is the best value and outputs professional quality films. The only downside is it takes a little longer to print the film which shouldnt be a problem unless you're a high volume shop constantly outputting film. The other cheap option is to get a HP Laserjet 5100. The rip software is built in to the driver (make sure you download the 5100ps driver) so it's cheap. All you need is laser film positive and toner aid to darken the image. Hope this helps.
