I am a home embroider and have been using a Janome 300 E for 10 yrs. I am upgrading to do outside embroidery for clients. I am looking at Babylock EMB 8, and Brother 600ii, as well as a more expensive Brother pr 650. All machines have 100 or less hours, but are higher priced. My main question is- is 2300 hrs alot on a machine? I have found a Babylock pr600 that has 2300 hrs, serviced regularly, being sold from an embroidery shop to make room for an upgrade. Should I pay a couple thousand more for a newer machine, or are these numbers common? Again, all other options have barely been used, even in comparison to my home machine (which probably has a 1000 hrs). They are selling with a bunch of hoops, stand, etc for 3000.00.
