What machine to buy??

United States

I own a small adwear specialty company, and have outsourced all of my embroidery for years. I am thinking of purchasing a used machine, but could use some feedback on what I am getting myself into. Most of the logo's I work with are in the 10,000 stitch range, and I will continue to have the large numbers done by a shop. I am looking to get a machine specifically for names, and numbers, and the occasional logo. Probably something swingle needle, 6 color. Being that it will be geared towards name application, does anyone have any suggestions, or a gently used machine that they are looking to move??

Thank you

I have a 4 and 6 head ulramatic. They are older but are the best for names and short runs for left chests.

Hi Jackler,
if it's for 10,000 stitches range, Brother will do and it also has good quality to create letters

Jackler,

I have two machines for sale: a single head melco EMC6MTL which is a single head 6 needle machine (1993) and a SWF/B 1501 (2002). This is a single head 15 needle machine with very low hours.

Hey there,

CALL Tajima, Barudan, Happy, Toyota... (I'd stay away from the rest) ... get as much info as you possibly can on their brands and why you should consider their brand in particular for your specific kind of use. Talk to current users and get their feedback... then hunt down a good used one... if that's the route you want to take. Embroidery machine repair is very, very, expensive. Make sure you stick with a highly reliable brand.

I'm in North Florida so I'm not sure this will work for you but here goes anyway...

THIS IS A HEAVY DUTY SELF STANDING COMMERCIAL EMBROIDERY MACHINE

Please let me know if you have an interest in our 2004 Happy HCA 12/1 commercial embroidery machine. It's stands on a heavy duty 2 inch tubular frame and comes with a complete array of embroidery accessories. This machine is in "like new condition" with very little use. We used it in our retail uniform store before we closed in 2006. Asking $9,995. Please make an offer. :) alex@jaxuniforms.com

Please call me and we can discuss options.
