We all think about this, "If I bought my DTG now, knowing what I know now, I would have done this,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,".
Would you mind sharing what you would do differently now buying DTG vs. when you did buy, be it last month, 6 months, or a year or more ago?
Would you buy, or lease?
Would you buy the same model, or upgrade or downgrade based on what your business is doing now?
Would you change brands?
Would you have held out on the deal for more accessories, i.e; more plattens, more ink supply, pre treatment, different ink management, etc.? Reason I ask, is I'm negotiating now with a couple of vendors, and they're standing firm on their pricing, so I'm asking for extra accessories, the response is positive, we'll see how it goes.
Thanks for any input. I'm going to post this in both sections of the forum, as some may only read one part and not the other.
Thanks.

Re: DTG: if you bought your DTG again, what would you do differe
if i knew what i know now my advise would be DON'T BUY IT!!!
mine is sitting in the corner covered and it burns my eyes out every time i look at it , if you want to experience the DTG i will sell it for cheap, Blazer Express with all software, hardware, etc

That's an interesting question. I did a lot of research prior to making our purchase. I am not going to bash any brand, make or model. They all have the same issues...period. I do not believe any one is better then the other. However, I do believe that you need to make sure that you have the market for this type of print. What we thought would be steady growth for us has not necessarily been. I use mine daily - however, we do have it posted for sale but ONLY because our print runs are too large for anything but screen print. We need to upgrade to an automatic press and once that makes a return I will REINVEST in another digital printer. I definately would hold out for accessories and consumables. Specifically consumables.

I would keep the dtg printer or buy one because it's a life saver customers ( mostly:schools , churches , camps ) come back needing 2 more shirts for the kid that gained weight or the last minute signup/ forgotton kid and if you take care of them and say yes .You have a customer that's very happy and will pay more for your services. ong to setup a The other option just color logo on darks for just a small run. I sold my manual when I bought an auto wished I had kept it too even if not being usrd very often.
