I may want a Workhorse tech or someone that knows the presses to come in and install and level my press when I get it in my shop in the next couple weeks. Wondering if anyone is in central California and what it would run as far as their/your fee would be.

Call Workhorse and get the name of a reputable tech. They will steer you in the right direction to find someone.

Ill find someone but money is tight so I have to watch the P's and Q's. I did not even want to buy an auto so soon as I just upgraded my manual press about a month ago but I just could not pass up this press for the money so its made the P's and Q's a lil scarce as I still need a chiller and my electrician to come in.

Gerry you could probably do the electrical work yourself... it's not really that difficult.

I get nervous around electrical. I have to run 3 (220) runs as I have had to redesign my 700 sq ft workspace which after the press is in there it wont "flow" so well lol.

It's all just copper until you flip the switch.

If you ran that then you can run anything you will need.

Just remember to turn things off and be safe.

One thing about it is I wont keep it clean. I can install car stereos, amps etc with no problem but making it look good is not my forte. I have a spider web of wires behind the seat in my truck where my 2 amps are.

Don't worry about your floor being out of level. They have adjustments on the base for just that reason. As long as you're not on a hillside you'll be fine. There are some tricks to getting dead nuts level, but I've never worked on a Tuf, so I don't know.

I am waiting on a quote from someone that messaged me on here. If its reasonable enough I may have him do the whole thing, breakdown, transport, install and leveling but would like to get a couple numbers to look at

Gerry I will give you one advice

Don't be stupid to do electrical work by yourself.
There are few reasons for that
1. You are not electrician
2. You don't know how to do it
3. You are afraid of it
4. You may electrocute yourself
5. You may burn down your shop and loose tour livelihood.
6. You may have problems with your insurance
That is just some reasons.
Leave to the others to do jobs they don't do for themselves.
You get professional, it will be much cheaper than the damage you may cause by doing electrical work yourself.

Everything Promo said is true.

But electrical work is FAR from rocket science. There are 3 wires involved (sometimes a 4th technically).

My thoughts are if you can't go from point A to point B with 3 wires (that are color coded for your pleasure) and not electrocute you are probably in bad shape mentally and might be better off just printing for someone else because there are a LOT more complicated things involved in running a company than running 3 wires.

Full disclaimer, I used to tie in our PD (Power Distro) at all the clubs when needed to get significant power to the stage to power our PA and Backline gear. Wired into live boxes every time as they were the panels the clubs used for all their power and couldn't be shut down. If you take your time and stay smart it's nothing.

I recently wired in the 220 line for a server for a company I consult for because I couldn't see them paying someone all that money to drop a line in the same closet as the breaker panel... that box was live also... 480 coming into that room!

No it wasn't... there is a difference between not WANTING to do it and thinking you CAN'T do it.

I can clean my house, but I don't WANT to, so I pay someone else to do it. Same goes for my yard, laundry and other task I don't WANT to do.

I also do my own Air Conditioning work, that's because I enjoy trouble shooting them and don't want to pay retarded prices nor bother my buddy to come from an hour away to fix it (though he would).
