Set of 6 Action Engineering 30"x36" Honeycomb Aluminum with Rubber Top Platens.

M&R style brackets.

Close to new condition- very clean, perfect rubber. Honeycomb alum is extremely flat.

*one exception! One of the platens has a dinger on the corner, see pics. It looks like you could easily clamp this down to fix it and it is more than likely outside of the image area for a print.

We are the second owners of the set and, like the previous owner, used these for about 2 print runs.

Screaming deal @ $1500 for the set. Help me clean house and get yourself into oversize prints for a song.

This pallet can be repaired easily. Put Epoxy into the open areas. Apply a C-Clamp to the corner and use a couple of square plates on the top and bottom of the pallet. The plates should be approximately 3" x 3" and around 1/2" thick. Wood is fine. Let it cure overnight. JB Weld is the preferred epoxy here and can be found at most hardware stores. The purpose of the plates is to distribute the load of the clamp. If you attempt to clamp directly on the honeycomb - it might crush.

If the price tag has you wincing but you're interested in the platens, I'm open to barters for:

  • Good quality spot cleaning gun w. or w.out exhaust unit
  • Wide format epson in working condition 7xxx or 9xxx series, we need about 24" wide output
