Hello from Norfolk Virginia.
I come seeking information about embroidery machines. I help run a hackerspace, which is a commercial space rented for use by hobbyists in various ways. Mainly electronics, software, hardware, and art.
I'm hoping that we can find a surplus single head multi color embroidery machine that needs repair (power supply issues are a favorite) and return it to working for our lab.
I've learned a little bit about the pitfalls of the old equipment by reading various posts, but there is still quite a bit to learn.
It seems as if the new consumer machines probably have much more powerful software than the older commercial machines, but the older machines do multi color thread and have larger work areas.
