What would cause the emulsion to become stringy looking after it has been in the dip tank.
It used to take about 5 minutes sitting in the tank, now it has to sit in there for 15-20 minutes and the emulsion just doesn't come off like it should.
The dip tank solution is only about 2 months old!
Any ideas?

Re: Dip Tank Question
I've seen "stringy" emulsion when reclaiming underexposed screens.
Re: Dip Tank Question
Makes sense...We will try exposing the screens a little longer to see what happens.

Re: Dip Tank Question
Could be the under exposed emulsion
What type of product is in your dip tank? Some have a shelf life and die in a couple months some don't.

Re: Dip Tank Question
Chad, EasiStrip is one of the good ones.
I would say check your exposure times...make sure you dont have an underexposure problem, and if you are still having the same issue it may be time to change your tank out.
Re: Dip Tank Question
we use SPA ink/emulsion remover for the past 2 years, havn't had to change it out yet. We drain the liquid every couple of months to several big pales, clean the crap out of the bottom of the tank, rinse, put the solution back in and just top it off, still as potent as when we first filed it. takes about 3 minutes to liquify any type of emulsion from chromaline, to ulano water resistant emulsions. The SPA line of reclaim chemicals are super affordable and super super potent
Re: Dip Tank Question
