have a chance to get this thing for a deal but have no clue who makes or made them. Need parts to get it working and have no idea where to start. I know I'm in the wrong section but need a quick response or i may lose it.
thanks

Re: can some put a name on this flash?
Looks like an old Harco
Re: can some put a name on this flash?
Thats what I originally thought since its brown but all the mechanical flashes I've seen from brown and harco have a huge box down by the floor.
Re: can some put a name on this flash?
Yeah I was judging it by its stand.
Re: can some put a name on this flash?
Well I bought it for $50 so I guess I'm good if I can get it working.
Re: can some put a name on this flash?
Yeah thats a good small gamble
Re: can some put a name on this flash?
Whats to figure out - All that those things are is just the heating panel - the rest is just bells n whistles. All you need to do really is just by pass all that box on the top and hook up an On/Off switch line straight to the heating panel - if this doesn't work them the heating panel is noooooo good. Then again - the panel is just a wire that goes up n down inside the insulation and sometimes that wire breaks and your panel no longer heats. Finding where the wire is broken is the trick. Then again..... haha -
I'll be sore in the mmorning!
Re: can some put a name on this flash?
It's made by atlas. There dryers use the same controllers. What is it not doing? Good luck.
Re: can some put a name on this flash?
well it heats up but the rotation part isn't working. I thought it was an atlas just couldn't find any info on it. I'm guessing either it is wired wrong or the controller is bad. Worst case it will stay a stationary flash but it would be nice to get it to swinging.
