I am thinking about buying a used (bought in 1995) Melco emc 10T machine (supplies, software, book of business, sweats, blankets, digitizing software, 80000 stock designs, etc..) but am concerned about buying such an old machine. I thought it might be worthwhile as I am new in the industry and it would allow me time to get use to the embroidery business and work up to upgrading to a newer machine when the business allows. Any thoughts?
Re: thinking about buying used Melco emc10T
Sounds like a good plan to me provided the price is fair. I think it is wise to start small until your feet get wet. New operators can do some serious damage sometimes.(sewing into the frames etc.) .. better to make those mistakes on a lesser priced preowned than a brand new model. IMO Those machines were workhorses, as long as you have it checked out before you pay for it... it should work just fine until you want to upgrade.

If you are going to pass on the Melco could you give me the info I have one and it is a work horse, not fast but true.
