Hi,
I need to digitize a couple of letters, but I don't need them to be filled, just the outline. The letters are pretty big, maybe 4 inches by 4 inches each. Is this easy to do with an digitizing program? Can anyone recommend a program that can do this for me? Something thats free or really cheap?

Hello,
Lettering at that size is not difficult. It's actually harder to do smaller lettering. I don't know of any free digitizing software, but Embird is pretty affordable.
