Hi,
I have a small Sofia Model BL137A that does sewing and embroidery. I am wanting to embroider a livestock brand on some towels and am needing to know how to get the brand onto the machine.
Re: Embroidering Livestock Brand
The brand is just a picture. What would you recommend for embroidery software? I don't need anything real fancy because like I said I just have a small at home machine.
Re: Embroidering Livestock Brand
Embroidery software is expensive - and to digitize well takes a lot of time and practice. I would suggest finding someone who will do it for you. As I am in South Africa I am not sure what your software prices would be. If you DO decide to buy software to do it yourself be VERY AWARE that any "auto-digitizing" shown to you will be from artwork already prepared to look good. Take your brand picture along with you and see what results the software will give. Whatever software you may get make sure that it will "save" in the format that your machine reads.
Re: Embroidering Livestock Brand
Is the brand already in a stitch format - or is it simply a picture? If it is just a picture you will need to digitize it with embroidery software (or get it done for you). If it is already digitized you should be able to put it on a USB stick to transfer to the machine.
I am not familiar with your machine, but I THINK you will need it in PES. format for the machine to "read" the design.
Also I would suggest finding the LOWEST gig USB stick that you can find. (If you have an old 1G stick that would probably work best) Sometimes the sticks have to be re-formatted from FAT32 to FAT to work properly.
