This is a DTG M2 Direct to garment printer. Coldesi headquarters is located in Tampa, and that's where I bought the machine.
While flushing this machine (a procedure required before shipping) I accidentally spilled white ink on the print head. This would of course happen right before I sell a mint condition perfectly functioning machine.
I called Coldesi about this, and they told me to power off the machine and remove the head to check for any white ink on the ribbon cable connector. They said if there was ink on it I would need to replace the print head because it could possibly cause a short down the line.
I removed it and sure enough there was white ink. So the current status of this printer is that prior to this, it worked and printed every day flawlessly. I'm not sure if coldesi is trying to sell me a new print head (They are always trying to upsell), or if it's fine since I throughly cleaned it.
I'm not taking the chance, so I will assume it needs a new head but I will include the old one and let you decide. Installing a new head takes 30 seconds, and I recommend you replace the dampers when you do so.
Because of this unfortunate and careless mistake on my part, I am reducing the price of $12k to $8,500 OBO. Must go soon!
As you can see from the pictures, this machine is extremely clean. A new print head from coldesi will cost $1,000, but you can get them from a third party for around $500 if you wish.
I've kept up on the maintenance, exceeding what Coldesi requires. It was refurbished by the manufacturer a year ago so that's why it's in such good shape, other than the head issue.
I prefer pickup, but will ship if seller pays shipping and submits payment in full prior to me crating it up.
