Tajima TFMX 2C 1204

We are offered a Tajima TFMX 2C 1204 machine, 2006 model.
Does this machine have any weak points or can you recommend it? We do not have any Tajimas at the moment, but would like to go that way.

The TFMX has bad electronics and issues with 3D6 Error Codes and CPU Cards going bad. The other week point on a MX is the trimmers. The machine constantly gets 3A6 and kifes get stuck open and won't retract back or knifes go out of time.

Thanks for reply.
What model/year would you go for in my posititon?

If you have to have a Tajima then a 2005 or older. I would rather have a Barudan, Happy or ZSK then a Tajima IMO

We've been very happy with our 2006 TFMX 1506's. They've been rock solid work horses for several years now. As long as the machine you're looking at was well maintained & taken care of, it should be reliable. All I can remember other than regular maintenance is replacing a tension harness cable & conversion kits for the pickers and covers. We've ran SWF, Barudan, and Tajima's all with good results but I prefer the Tajima's mostly since I'm more familiar with them.
