Re: Is it slow time of year for you also
Where do most of your clients come from? Maybe it is a regional issue? We have our Federal holidays here so those are a given... Spring Break for schools/colleges... and other events throughout the year that may alter sales...like weather concerns or industry ups and downs(think oil) But overall those are pretty constant from year to year. Something always happens throughout a year.

for me, january and february are usually the slowest. things start picking up in march. its been pretty steady, but for some reason i've been getting slammed in the middle of every month for the last 3-4 months. not sure why.

Re: Is it slow time of year for you also
LOL. I have worked 9 weeks of pure crazyness due to may 24 elections(9k+ yard signs). I will have a another rush for runoffs the end of the week. Then, just then I can rebuild my XL Trooper move my paint booth and CNC router table before football / basketball season and November elections. I fixed my 1st quarter sales by focusing on accounting firms and property management companies and anyone doing summer camps, election years just ices the cake
Re: Is it slow time of year for you also
StephenAInstaller , do you Digitize or actually Embroider these signs? AS this is the Embroidery and Digitizing part of this forum.
gnizitigid.... the year is up in sales for us so far... but May is even with last year... Not a sharp decline. and 60% IS a SHARP decline! yikes. Do you do anything to diversify your revenue stream?

Re: Is it slow time of year for you also
i am a full print shop(no paper unless it is wide format) i have a 15 needle SWM and a 12 needle riccoa i have not had time to do maintenance on and are both down. i have had to sublet all my embroidering out to 2 shops (both are at least 5 days out) I mark it up 20-30% and still beat most etsy prices. I have awesome subs and all they want from me is vector art they can digitize and we all make money. ''skin the sheep and keep warm every winter, eat it and be full once''
Re: Is it slow time of year for you also
Nice! so on the embroidery side is your business up or down this month? I have never heard of an SWM machine or a RICCOA machine.
