Which Digitizing Software is most popular

Hello,

I am new to the digitizing software, I just ordered some educational material from John Deer (you talked about so favorably), My question is this:

I have Embird now (don't know how to use it yet though) Does Embird have limitations? Should I stick with Embird or is there another software that is easy to use and will grow with me? I am not sure where this digitizing journey will take me.

Professional digitizers are probably in the Wilcom, Pulse, or WINgs camp.... with Wilcom being the top of the line nowadays... but times change. I use WINgs, and 18 years ago it was either them , Wilcom or Melco..... we gambled on WINgs... and they are not as large as they used to be.. but I am too old to learn a new one now.. ha.

I guess the real question you should be asking is "which software will be best suited for you."

Get to know your software really good, and then you will determine yourself if it's doing the job for you. It is not nessecary to spend the big bucks if you can get by with something simpler. Wilcom is a very nice system, if not the best. If you're looking into softwares don't get sold on the automatic digi stuff, it looks good ont he computer, but how does it look on a garment?

Thank You for your responses, I am just starting to try and learn a program.

I have Embird and I also have Janome Digitizer Pro. Which one should I get some tutorials on? Pros and Cons of each??

It's basically about your habit, if you're used to a certain software, it'll take a while to learn another, although all software works the same way.

IMHO, Wilcom is certainly still the best. I've tried Embird before and I could say that it's a good one too. Too bad I haven't tried Janome digitizer pro yet.
