PE Design 6 / Baby lock EMP6

Hello and thanks for reading my post

We have two issues

1) We have recently staring doing digitizing ourselves using PE Design 6
when doing the digitizing in the menu under sewing attributes we check the box indicating we want under sewing however when preform the embroidery it DOES NOT under sew.

2) when attempting a large embroidery pattern on the back of a hoodie it leaves a void in the pattern where the needle picks up and relocates please review attached pics

For clarification "where the needle picks up and relocates" When the the machine embroiders it starts on one end and embroiders75% of the A them it picks up and go's all the way to the right and starts the X embroidering back towards the A
