Can anyone suggest best fabric to use for sample designs and monogram fonts? Some people ask do I have a sample of the font sewn out versus just a picture. Was thinking of having some samples and wanted to ask best fabric. Ive seen felt being used as well as white fabric, almost like a shower curtain cut into squares.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!

Re: Best Fabric Sewing Design Samples
I would offer some basic fonts - serif; sans serif; script etc. - in different sizes, on white felt. Having them framed as well looks good.
It may be worthwhile having some samples of what DOESN'T work stitched out as well. But they only need to be brought out to show the PITA customers. :D

Or cut away pellon. which will not hide as many faults as felt.. lol sorry Alison. But i think we are both coming from the same point... it is a basic idea. you cannot usually have a sample for 5 panel hats, 6 panel hats, 4 different types of pique shirts, terry towels, etc. You do a standard concept and adjust as needed when you get an order.
training the client is the most important thing I think... they cannot believe that they buy something for a 6 panel hat and then wonder why it does not work on a cashmere sweater as is.
