I would greatly appreciate some some help from anyone who has replaced their floppy drive in their Brother PR-600 with a Floppy Drive Emulator. I have not had any luck from the very beginning. First off I ordered the regular emulator when I should have ordered the Slimline emulator. So I had to end of ordering a second emulator. Next, when the second emulator arrives I find that the cable is to short and even further delaying my ability to get anything onto my machine. So I ordered a longer 8" ribbon cable.
Now that I have the next cable, everything is mostly back together, at least for testing purposes. But, still I cannot get it to read a thumb drive. I did not receive a CD with the software or instructions, but on the first emulator there was a CD with some software. Not sure it is even working right. I can't get it to format and add the 99 folders. I have only been able to format to 1.44 MB which still should be able to be read in the emulator.
So I'm not sure if there is a jumper pin adjustment that's needed or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
