Hi I'm new to screen printing and was wondering which printer and rip software I should get. I was thinking of getting the Epson 4800 series and the fastrip software. Any reviews? Plus, which brand of ink do you use to print your films? where is a good place to buy stuff like this? And what would you consider a good price for a printer and rip software? Thanks!!
Re: Help, which printer and rip software should I get?
I think here is a good resource based on what u've shared
http://screenprinters.net/products.php
Also, check out the forums at their site. A lot of people on the boards use that combo and can probably provide feedback.
Another option for rip would be to use the free GhostScript rip thats out there. Just a thought...
Have a great day! :)

HPs aren't good for positives, Epson or Canon at the A3 size, Epson above A3.
It depends what you are looking to do, what lpi, no. of prints/day etc.
