Duties and Responsibilities
Actively manage a staff of approximately 60 production employees in the day to day operation of their respective positions, including screen print, embroidery, packing, shipping and warehouse.
Set appropriate metrics to measure ongoing results to proactively manage production processes and individual employee performance.
Optimize and manage departmental operating procedures, processes, and policies to achieve operating margin, delivery, and quality performance targets.
Actively manage work in process to ensure quality and on time shipping by working with the production team, scheduling and other departments.
Establish short and long term production goals in collaboration with other departments and ownership.
Work with suppliers to negotiate pricing for direct materials, and manage inventory levels for all supplies.
Required Skills / Experience
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience managing both people and processes, experience in screen print and embroidery preferred, but not required.
Excellent written and verbal communication, administrative and interpersonal skills are essential.
Demonstrates leadership skills to build, inspire and retain a high performance manufacturing team.
A record of successfully meeting delivery and quality objectives in a fast paced production environment.
High School diploma is required, with a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field strongly preferred.
