I have been working with a Roland sp540v after spending thousands on repairs and tech calls i started to learn about servicing the machinesmyself here is the list of service features I have to offer:
- Encoder strip replacement and calibration
- Head replacement / nipple replacement / allignment
- ink line trouble shooting
- Replace main board fuses
- ink assembly
- calibrations and software setup.
with this knowledge we are going on 2 years without a service call. In addition I have learned to work on HP 5000 / 5500
- replaced drive belt
- replaced print carriage
- converted from pigment to UV
My third experience came with working on a damaged Epson 9800
- troubleshoot error codes
- retention of belt
- setup and configuration to work with film rips
Knowledge of setting up rips / wasatch / versworks
PC / Mac networks and software
so looking to get into this field any advice would be appreciated.
