League Collegiate Outfitters, a leading textile manufacturer and decorator of custom apparel for the college bookstore market, is looking to add to a Screen Print Technical Specialist to our talented team. Someone who is self-motivated and capable of handling a high-growth, high-demand company.
As a Screen Print Technical Specialist, we will rely on you to utilize your skills and expertise in the Screen Print field to develop techniques & processes, document, and monitor the print processes from development through production. Staying current with the industries latest advances and practices are a must to keep League on the leading-edge.
Qualifications:
• 7+ years of textile Screen Print experience, preferably in a short-run, high changeover environment.
• Solid understanding of the entire Screen Print process from Darkroom to Dryer (coating screens, screen mesh, exposure times, inks, press set-up and operation).
• Expertise with Water base ink
• Thorough understanding of both manual and automatic press operation and set-up.
• Technical knowledge and understanding of screen print. What types of inks to use, print technique, etc to achieve the “best” result.
• Must be detail oriented and process driven as “Best Practices” will be approved, documented, and maintained.
• High energy person
• Must have the ability to work with people from all levels of the organization.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule would be ideal.
What you will be doing:
• Reporting to the Production Manager, work closely with the Print Supervisor on both shifts to monitor the Screen Print department. Ensure company policies and procedures are met and maintained. Fill in for the Screen Print Supervisor as needed.
• You will work closely with current press operators to ensure standards and “Best Practices” are maintained.
• You will work with new hires to ensure proper training per League print guidelines.
• You will work closely with the Design Development team to confirm existing techniques, and develop new techniques that will support League’s growth.
