106 degrees in San Antonio today

I know many places get hotter, but we have already started with the 100+ degree days in a row part of the year... a bit early again. Right now we are looking at a 7 day run.

Whew, that's hot. We're about normal for N. Michigan this time of year - low to mid 70s. We're supposed to get up into the 80s mid week. When we hit 90 or above, everyone up here starts complaining (except the tourists). It's just too hot and we're not used to it. Does warm up the water in Lake Michigan though.

I don't want to jinx it Robert, but I don't think we will ever have a summer as bad as 2011. We had over 100 days of 100 degree heat here in Austin, so I know it was just as bad where you are.

yes, but Austin is so much "cooler" than San Antonio.. pun intended.... I hear with all the building cranes up there that the State Legislature is considering a proposal to make the Building Crane the State bird!! all that shale money is all around you.... bigger than the oil days of the 80's!!

ha, at what temp do you guys go swimming up there?? here it seems we prefer bath water temp...

Lake Michigan is generally freezing almost any time of year. When we have a warmer summer the water gets merely ice cold instead of frigid. It's really refreshing on a hot day though.

There are crazy people who will swim when there's ice on the Bay. They don't tend to stay in for long though. :D

We've finally gone to more near normal temps for this time of year. A lot of 90+ degree days for us this summer. I'm not a fan of those temperatures. I'm ready for Fall as well.
