I have a Tuf Olympian automatic press for sale. Its in great condition and already dismantled for easy moving and setup. No longer have a use for the machine here. Please message if interested - interested in local buyers.

Is the machine located in So Cal or Nor Cal?

Hi- here is some extra information that I've been asked for and shared with others:

- Machine year is 1998
- It's been in light use for the last 2 years, only for large scale projects which there haven't been many of
- Runs great, there have been no issues but there is really not a demand for this large of a machine right now
- I can include 10 pallets with it if you are interested but still need the squeegees and compressor.

Thanks for the pics but from my understanding it is taken apart, is that correct? It will be a tough sell if it is. I know if it was assembled and can be seen in operation I probably would buy it.

Lol. I hear both of you. By the time I get it dissasembled buy the parts needed reassemble and buy flashs for it you can probably double the 7K easily I would think. What are your guys thoughts?

Any press you buy you'll be faced with those same hurdles of breaking it down and moving it, then setting it all back up.

From what I've read from other owners, Olympians and Javelins are easy to take apart/assemble. If you do it all yourself, borrow a trailer and truck, you could pull it off for less than double the asking price.

I'd expect it to need things like air fittings, maybe some new lines, few new cylinders here and there, but probably less than 1k in parts. The rest is back-breaking labor and determination.

For $7k I'd be at least taking a drive up to check it out with a healthy cash deposit if it turns out to be in decent shape.

One good thing about an Olympian vs a javelin are some upgrades. I think the stroke cylinders are rodless and more durable, the flip cylinders have a larger bore and thus stronger squeegee pressure and the contol panel has more features, probably more.

Don't rule out the possible need for the registration bearings to be reset (tech visit). At least you can count out needing shims for the heads:D

$7k is a good deal though for a machine that cost probably around 40K new, if it's in good shape.
