Adelco Jet-Force Split Belt Gas Dryer - Currently Not Running

Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States

Selling our Adelco dryer to make room for a new one which will be here very soon. The dryer is currently not running - blowing fuses on startup and I'm not sure where the issue is. We've had other issues in the past as well which may be isolated to our shop, but I'm not certain of that. These past issues can be read about in the following thread: http://www.theshirtboard.com/index.php/topic,18282

In a nutshell, we were never able to get it running the way we wanted to and since there isn't a widespread service/support system in place for this brand, are now ready to move on. The dryer is being sold AS-IS and is priced accordingly. I have all the manuals and electrical schematics and can pass those along. Both belts are in good condition, and the unit was maintained well. We ran the dryer using propane but Adelco has told me the unit contains a natural gas burner.

History: The dryer was purchased two years ago from a US company who had imported the dryer from their China location and had planned to use it at their Miami location. They never got the operation up and running and we purchased it in almost new condition still crated from the shipment.

Specs are as follows:

Adelco Jet-Force J150S Gas Dryer
Dual 30" Split Belt
13' Heat (10' Chamber + 3' Extension), 5' Infeed, 5' Outfeed
220V 3PH, 13 AMPS/PH

Adelco (UK) has been spotty at best when it comes to answering questions and responding to emails. Hirsch, their distributor in the USA has been much more helpful and from our phone conversations, their service department seems to know these units well. Parts are available through Hirsch, and in my experience they keep great stock.

Asking price is now $2500 firm. Location is Fort Lauderdale, FL. Pickup only, will require a forklift to get out of storage unit or we can rent one at a cost of $500 for the day. The photo attached is from the install, and I can send more photos through email for those interested.

Feel free to contact me at: brett@squeegeescience.com with any questions and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Could you email more pics? Sales@rrctees.com been contemplating on whether or not take a gamble on this. I feel I may be able to get it to work right. Could you also explain a little bit more into detail the current problems. From what I read seems you got the belt speed problem under control?

The dryer is currently disassembled and in a storage unit so I'm not able to get any more pics at this time, but I have all the info/manuals and schematics if needed.

In regards to the issues, everything I know is in the original post. We were never able to get the belt speed problem figured out, and by the end it wouldn't start up without a fuse blowing. At that point, we bought a new dryer and put this one in storage.

Just emailed you back. I do have a sale pending and the unit is scheduled to be picked up either later today or tomorrow. Will update the thread if anything changes.
