Auto Press (need advise)

I am in the process to add my 1st auto press to my shop. Reading around and getting information from M&R, Anatol, Workhorse & Lawson, I believe that my best two options are M&R and Anatol. My space is limited, my jobs are 98% less than 5 colors, and the minimun print space should be 14" by 14". I already has air and power in place. I am really thinking in the Diamondback S 8/6, Sportsman EX 8/6, Anatol Titan or Horizon 6/5 or 7/6. My budget is around $20K. I might need a flash cure too. Lawson and Workhorse seems to be really expensive for the features presented. Just need an advise from you guys who really know about auto machines. Thanks.

I use a titan 6/8 at the shop I run. If you are doing small runs the step back feature is great. Also I have had it up to 82 dozen a hour. So it can really move. It holds registration well and the quick release squeegees are great the only downside is that it is such a compact press that you end up transferring ink from squeegees to press fairly easily.
for the price it is a great machine we got it in August and have run 75,000+ impressions off it with only a few minor breakdowns.

if you budget is 20 k then a nice used m/r gauntlet 8/10 would be a great option. the lawsons do not hold their value but are very easy to work on. with m/r the service is 24/7 and second to none. another option is to lease, keep your cash and buy a new m/r.

You may also look at buying used equipment. A number of owners look at downsizing this time of year and you can get some super buys on some quality used equipment. Be prepared to go see the equipment in operation. A quality press does not stay available long.

Good luck in your pursuit.
