Avance single head issue

Hello there
Is there any Avance owners in the forum that can answer some questions?
We are having some issues doing caps and is been hard to understand why? From needle breaks by hitting the metal plate and not so good puff sewout we have good digitizers so we know is not the design. this is a big dilema for us since all we do is caps and our business depends on this machine

It's a Chinese machine. Chinese machines do not sew hats good period! If all you do is caps then you should have bought a Barudan.

this is our second machine from the company since our first one had to be replaced after many issues. We feel horrible they have great customer services and done a lot for us but we are so frustrated with this machine. our primary customer are baseball teams and we had to outsource due us not been capable to do our own with our machine. I guess we have to be realistic and sell machine

We have a Avance 4 head but I'm not sure how similar the single head is to ours.

On ours, the needle plate is not self centering. When changing plates we need to be sure that it's centered to the needle when tightening the screws. Once we figured that out we stopped breaking needles :)

While embroidtek is correct that Barudan is a great machine, suggesting that "Chinese machines do not sew hats good period!" is a bit over the top. :) We have run 1000's of hats in the last two years with no issues and excellent sew outs.

I also run a 4 head Avance have not problem sewing hats. It could be the way it was digitize. Hope you can get it figure out.
