Barudan 806-UG 6 Head & FMCII Disk Reader

We have been in the sewing and embroidery business since 1938! This equipment is being sold as a package deal because of the FMC II Disk Reader.

Machine 1: This is a Barudan Model 806-UG 6 Head Machine. Serial Number 900383. 115V, 60hz. Another number shown is 75205X20 (not sure what this means). This machine was used primarily for name badges these past several years. Prior to that, this machine was a workhorse and produced her share of garments each day! She has plenty of life left in her and reads FMC Format floppy disks via the FMC II Disk Reader. The machine comes with enough hoops to have a run and make-ready set of hoops (12) for multiple sizes. PR9 is 3.5" diameter - 11 each working, 1 broken hoop (needs glued or replaced), PR12 is 4 5/8" diameter - 12 each., PR15 is 8 7/8" diameter - 12 each. We also have Large & Small "Spider" frames for inserting other hoops into, PR19 is 7 5/8", there are 6 each of these. Additionally, we will be providing large back embroidery frames for lettering. All motors and heads run fine on this 7 thread colors per unit machine except head #2 does need serviced, but will operate fine when completed - do damage.

Disk Reader: This machine is a Barudan FMC II Floppy Disk Reader, S/N: 0264 90-8. Yes kids, back in the old days - we used these things called floppy disks. They didn't hold much - but they worked! I have many floppy disk to try on this machine. This machine also comes with several font packs that allow you to select your font - many are built in to the motherboards, but if you want to print: 2 Color Western, Curtis Script or Helvetica versus what they provide in the machine - this is your opportunity. As well, the embroidery machine has a Color Monitor - an after-market option that was over $1500. Our original "monochrome" screen no longer worked properly and I was lucky enough to secure a Color model as its replacement. Equipment is located in Wichita, Kansas.
