Brother Software

A few months ago I purchased a used brother machine, thinking I could run my Melco software with it. However, I cannot get it to accept the files. Someone at Melco, said I needed to upgrade to the new Design Pro Software, however I still cannot get the machine to accept a file. In researching Brother, it looks like they offer BES-100 software.

I was wondering if anyone has had similar problems or does anyone know where I could buy a tape drive to hook to the machine. The machine is a bes-1204. I spoke to Brother, however they wanted 399.00 just to talk.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have not had an opportunity to export files in any other format than .dst. However I know that my Design Shop Pro+ can save as a .pes and a .pec both of which are listed for Brother Machines. If you would like to email me the original .ofm file I can see if it will make a difference. I am not going to promise anything but it is worth a shot.

Which file format do you have your files in?

We could convert the file format for you. Most designs can be converted, but some loose quality and thus have to be redigitized.

I'll give it a try for you if still havent found a solution. Just email me the file you have.
