Buying new Machine want advice

I am going to guess by your username that you , too, are in Texas... with that I would suggest the SWF mainly because it has been my personal experience that when I needed help the SWF techs were easy to contact. I am in San Antonio and they have people in Dallas/Ft Worth as well as in Houston... plus there are a couple of "private" SWF techs here locally.
Each of the machines you list will sew beautifully I am sure, but I was always concerned with service after the sale as well as sewing size for the items I wished to concentrate on as my "niche"... and SWF has proven to me that they are there for me and have even helped me create a fairly unique machine at a very reasonable price. SO, for my money I strongly recommend SWF for today as well as for the future of your company.

We just purchased the SWF E1501C - it's being delivered next week. We are currently in training with SWF in NC and are finding them to be very responsive to our needs. We've only heard positive things about SWF in our research.

ask them how they know which board is bad when you have a problem. they will have you switch boards around but they are only guessing when they do that.

How much do the boards cost and how often do they go bad? Is it common within the first x number of years like maintenance on a car or is it indicative of a lemon?

SWF,Happy,Tajima,Toyota - are on average the preferred machines. Choosing one with the closest machine techs/parts availability,and ability to train you on basic maintenance issues will probably be best. It does to some degree depend on who is closest to you,and can provide you with good service.

Tajima All The Way....there Can Only Be One #1

As long as you run them long enough to recoup your initial costs... then I would not have a problem with Tajima either, I agree they are workhorses and if you have the business, fine... but the more machines you buy, the more and more I prefer SWF and keeping that extra cash for marketing or vacations... lol. (up to $7000.00 more per head for Tajima!)
