A word of caution to buyers of used carousel (M&R, Anatol, Tas, etc), if the machine is not assembled and operational beware. A dissembled machine could be hiding a ton of expensive repairs: bad CPU (computer)$$$$, lost program $$$$, numerous bad air lines or air valves $$$, bad proximity switches or $$$ (worst of all) center shaft bearings worn out $$$$$$.
The center shaft bearing problem is nearly irreparable. This problem is very hard to detect on a machine that is not fully assembled and leveled.

Re: Buying Used Automatic
You’re correct it's hard to check for a worn center shaft busing when the press is totally disassemble but if you add just two arms on the indexer you can. First you would need to remount 2 arms on opposite sides, then with someone rocking the pallet arm up and down and someone measuring any movement on the other pallet, if there's movement, you have center shaft problem. I recommend that test to everyone that is looking at a used press.
