convey dryer?

When starting out in a silk screen business. Do u have to buy the dryer? How many time would u have to flash cure it in order for the ink to dry? Please help I want to buy a silk screen machine but I can't afford the dryer right now. I want to get one when I make my money back. I will be doing 20-30 shirts an hr.

Ghost work is just layin it down old school. There was a time when dryers weren't as abundant as now. The first dryer I used was homemade. I have also used a heat press with a teflon cover sheet. However, with the cost of heat presses these days that's a little pricey. Go with the dryer though it will be worth it

Hi Powermoves

As you mentioned, if you have just started or about to start silk screen business, i would recommend you to go with a dryer. Without a dryer, you might not get the quality results that you would have expected. It might cost more to your investment. But go with it

Thanks

you dont HAVE to have a dryer.. you can actually print the shirts first, lay them somewhere safe where no one will touch the wet ink or no dust will land on it.. put them on a big baking sheet and stick them in the oven, set you oven at 350-400, leave them in there for 10-15 seconds, see how it comes out..
you can also get a flash dryer.. just make sure its hot enough!
i recommend buying a heat gun

If you go this way, I would invest in some temp tapes. Those little stickers you put on the garment that turn black when it reaches the right curing temp. Either that or a temp gun.

Powermoves...dude...buy A Dryer, Even If Its A Small Cheaper One..forget The Oven Technique Or The Heat Gun. All You'll Have Is Problems..not To Mention All The Extra Time Involved... Buy The Dryer It Will Save You Major Time And Chargebacks For Undercured Garments.. If You Cant Afford A Dryer Wait To Start Your Business. Just My Opinionated .02
