I purchased (what I was told) was a complete Tri-Loc system a while back. The money was wanted upfront and was paid. All items (minus the importan stop block) was sent. Inquired about the stop block - said multiple emails "it would be there next week" - never shipped, never contacted.
Needed to stop-block for jobs so it was purchased through M&R for $125 - contacted Dave about getting reimbursed for at least half of the cost since his inability to now 'find the original stopblock since it was apparently shipped with another machine' - but fails to reply to emails or texts now.
Still got all his money upfront and immediate (good for him)
Caused me to delay multiple print jobs and still doesn't reply to email (bad for me).
It's not a matter of the money at this point, it's a matter of business. You get paid, you produce or you make amends to promote fair business.
Dave still has my home address, email address, phone #, ID on DigitSmith and yet none are being used.
Is $60 worth the 'buyer beware' label... you be the judge.

How much was the machine? What kind?
Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
I would be another client of Jason R who got screwed. Yes Jason I did say I wouldn't throw you under the bus if you made things right with me. But it is now April and I bought everything from you in September and you have now cost me over $38,000. This includes what I bought and getting into a new lease for a building. Let's hope you never take a visit out to Santa Cruz CA.
Here is my number and email just in case you lost it.

Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
Shoot me an email an I will provide you with everything I purchased from him. I called work horse and they said I over paid $10,000 for everything. Which I payed $24k for automatic, dryer and exposure unit.

Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
Not surprised, I hate that this happened to you. Don't expect him to do anything about it, looks like you may just have to lick your wounds and move on if you can.
Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
This sounds familiar. Another broker used to be real good about answering the phone and replying before the sale of equipment, but then after the sale, you can't get ahold of them. Keep us updated please. I'm tired of this happening around here, and it's likely the same person that did you wrong that did others wrong here recently under a different name.
Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
Yeah - I've had some pretty good luck on here - and the funny thing was - he was posting on here today at the same time...
Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
stop block is nice and I use it everyday, but its not necessary. I used the triloc for years before there ever was a stop block.
Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
something fishy with all the jasons
Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money

Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
It's not Jason but there are some similarities for sure.
Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
I am and have been in Mexico,
I am not ignoring you danger! When I return next Saturday we will talk. As for the block, I told you I would get it off the gauntlet I sold. You told me that you went ahead and purchased another one from M&R and THAT was your choice. YOU proposed to me that I pay you back half of what the new one cost you at $60. I never agreed to do this but did think it was fair. When I get back to Philly I'll get with you on this and we'll be good. (RIGHT)! It was a mistake on the guys taking the press down and an honest one. I was not trying to cheat you on a stop block. Everyone I've sold to has received what they purchased. I havn't sold a ton on this site but everyone has paid and received their equipment.
I appreciate everyone's business and am grateful. And to those of you who think that I'm Jason Rodriguez let me tell you one more time. I AM NOT JASON!!!
Thank you Dave
Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
I am not J-Rod either, lets clear that. We do both live in GA, but I am not him.
Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
Thanks for straightening up the matter guys.
Honestly, I don't think Jason Rodriguez wants to be Jason Rodriguez anymore.
I hope he is taking better care of his business now.
Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
I don't need it next week - I needed it December 10th 2011... then again the week after and the week after (you get the point). I think this is a dead issue for me.
Just some quick notes:
1. They have email in Mexico
2. They have phone service in Mexico
3. I didn't have any other choice for the printing the orders that I was paid for.
It won't happen again, at least for me... I'll find other resources for equipment.
Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
I still have never heard back from J-rod about my flashback bulbs that someone out in california ended up with by accident. A simple trip to UPS could've solved the issue, but I guess now I'm out $225+++

Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
Jason Rodriguez owes me about $1,600!
Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
Wow what happened?
Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
I'm not here to go into many details, I don't want to get into any mud slinging, but he has refused to refund me for products that he sold me that were not as described.
I know Jason uses other aliases on this board, and it wouldn't surprise me if "Wizard112" is one of them.
Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
No sir, not him! But he did have dixiechick from one of his old sales peoples. I know of that one. I bought a 6/6 sidewinder from him and it went good. But, I've seen and heard these deals you all have done and everything. Did he ever just take your money and not deliver? Curious cause I havn't seen that mentioned at all?
Bobby
Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
Yeah this is definitely Jason. Might as well go ahead and register a new alias, we all know who you are now.
Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
Actually, I bought a 6/6 Sidewinder from Jason a few years ago from here with no issues as well - this is definitely a different person... just an FYI.
Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
Neither one of us can be absolutely sure, however I will disagree with you.
Re: Dave Mendez and the case of my missing money
I know this... I can vouch for Tance. They are good people.
