Digitising Black on white cloth.

As the title says, I am trying to find your best ideas on how to digitise for black on white Polos.
I have stitched out some large block text 250cm wide onto the back of Polo shirts. The text is all digitised as the customers text is not standard from my Wilcom ES. I know there are some Wilcom Fans on this forum, how would you digitise this? The text is MACHINE and is 250 x 8cm in size.
I have digitised it with a zigzag understitch and an outline understitch to cover the edges. On top is then a tatami stitch set at 36 stitch value spacing. Using a number 40 thread.
Not perfect as it still leaves a non perfect edge and some of the white fabric is showing through, but its the best I know.
Has anybody any better ideas??

I would digitize a complex fill unless the font is too fancy. First underlay: edge run ( margins 0.3x0.3x0.3). Second underlay: tatami (spacing 2mm). On top: tatami stitch (spacing 0.35). You might also want to play with offset fraction settings to make the filling look better. I hope this will help :)
