Sierra Design Systems Version 7 offers a new Auto Interactive Digitizing option, AID II. This option allows the user to import the following file formats bmp, jpg, clp, pcx, gif and now vector files in wmf. The user can select between 3 different modes of auto shape recognition to achieve the optimal design using Fill, Satin and Running stitches without the manual digitizing process. This option is ideal for those who are just getting starting, have no experience with digitizing techniques and need to get designs ready to sew quickly. AID II also allows those with a large number of vector art files to take full advantage of Auto Digitizing with the clean lines that vector files offer.

This option will auto-digitize a design and allows the user to interact with designs by moving nodes, changing stitch types, stitch direction, stitch editing and changing many other stitch parameters as if the design was manually digitized.

AID II offers a new tool, The Embroidery Wizard, making it a user-friendly process with simple steps to follow and create designs fast without manually digitizing them. AID II is also great for make samples quickly and getting stitch estimations for pricing your orders.
