Dri Fit Shirts

I am having a problem emroidering Nike Dri-Fit Shirts without ripping the fabric. Has anyone else had this problem? I have checked the pull comp on the design and it is good. Do I need to use a different needle? How can it be avoided? Thank you for your help.

Try a ball point needle, reduce your density, use a crisscross combo of mesh backing, and don't overly stretch the fabric when hooping. Also if it is occuring in small lettering or small elements with tight curves, reduce your needle size. There is the possibility you have a bur on your needle just enough to catch and tear the fibers, yet still sew. Hard to tell without more info. in your question, but these would be good starting places. Hope this helps!
