DTF: 24" STS Pro Production Package

Selling 24" DTF production system, including printer, shaker, Filter & RIP.

Reason for selling: This system realistically does 20 sq. ft. per hour on the higher quality setting. We need about 50-100 sq. ft. an hour, so we are upgrading a faster 4-head system. We haven't had the machine very long (about 8 months,) but we're doing 2 shift production. Our current production space has temperature & humidity issues and this printer really needs 45%-50% humidity. In a better controlled shop you could reasonably print with a faster setting. There is a new internal white ink circulation unit and we can schedule a Mutoh tech to install it for $1600.00 extra.

Our primary use is shipping bulk transfers to customers. This system is best for in-house production.

• prints are excellent and vivid
• foolproof pressing especially on synthetic blends and sublimated fabrics. Wide temp and pressure range.
• no glue halos
• prints have a comparatively soft hand and nice texture
• excellent resolution. We have printed down to 4pt type
• perfectly happy doing 2 shifts daily
• using gen 3 film now. Cold peel
• printer is CMYKWW +2 cleaning solution slots. Options for fluorescent pink, purple & yellow coming.
• This version of the air filter is very efficient meaning little to no smoke or smell.
• STS pushes frequent improvements and upgrades

• like most DTF production lines, this system is not 'hands off'. When the film is being pulled by the take up reel, the system can more or less run on its own but the beginning and end of a run requires hands-on attention to feed the film. The powder hopper also has to be regularly filled to keep this line moving. An operator should not multitask when the shaker is running in manual mode.
• needs high humidity and low dust environment. We work in a warehouse, so it's harder to keep the powder clean and clump free
• needs an extra fan at the end of the shaker to prevent lifting when using the take up reel
• can be messy: tpu powder will get on the floor so you have to vaccum around the shaker regularly. We have a tupperware on the side to catch and reuse some powder
• before work sessions you should lift the shaker hood and clean glycerine buildup. you need to wear gloves because the areas to wipe off can be sharp
• the printer is happier if you print every day
• all-over prints that have no halftoning or garment colour knockouts will feel more plastic-y on tees. Fleece is fine with any kind of image
• not the quietest shaker
• you need to set up a basket at the end of the shaker/oven if you want to print sheets
