HI,
I have a couple of EMB files with designs of 4" size. I want to increase to 8"
Can i simply use Wilcom E2/E3 to increase the size to 8"? Anything else i need to be aware of or does Wilcom automatically take care of everything?
Thx
Re: EMB 4" increase to 8"
wilcom will take care of everything to a point. there may be areas that need redone. like redoing a running stitch outline as a satin stitch...or additional underlay for a wider satin stitch. i don't like doing satin stitches over 6 mm wide...so there may be areas that would need to be redone as a fill.

Re: EMB 4" increase to 8"
ok thx for the reply.
What about the other way around.
8" to 4"?
Re: EMB 4" increase to 8"
kind of the same thing in reverse. you may have satin stitches that need redone as running stitches. i don't like to use satin stitches under 1.3 mm wide. or if areas of fill go to less than 6 mm wide, i would probably change them to a satin. its all a matter of knowing what will stitch well, and what will not. learning the software is the easy part. learning HOW to digitize, and what will look great or awful is the hard part.

Re: EMB 4" increase to 8"
Yes you can do it but dont forget to change these things
1) Pull compression (needs to be higher for larger design)
2) You have a sense where stitches will extends from the outline and leave a gap when stretching
3) using running stitch is risky as you are making it larger so i suggest you to use satin stitches instead of running stitches
Anything else you wanna just quote and i'll reply back
