Embroidery customer requesting refund

Hello to all,

Okay, so I have a small headache. I have an embroidery customer requesting a refund for ALL 36 polo shirts. The embroidered polo shirts look great and I charge a fair price. This request is out of the blue and very puzzling. What do other embroiderers do in this situation? Thanks much.

You do not say why the customer wants a refund!

Yes, you're right. But that's the thing, I don't know either. As I said the polo shirts look great and the price is fair. The first time he requested I asked what the problem was and he said that he was "not satisfied". Then I asked specifically why he was not satisfied and he started getting angry for no reason. So I decided not to continue talking and said that I would call him back.

Looks like a customer just had a change of mind for some reason. This is not your fault so I would NOT give them a refund!

If you screwed up like embroidering the wrong thread color or if the final products looks much too different (for the worse) than the samples you provided then it's understandable for them to be upset. In this case you can make things right by offering a discount or partial refund so you don't lose a customer.
