Embroidery Digitizing company

Hello Everyone!

I came to this forum & figure out there are lot of embroidery professional people who are looking for a true embroidery digitizing company. Yes, It is one of your most important decision in your embroidery business. I also run an embroidery business in BC, CANADA for last 25 years. I came across lot of local digitizers in the beginning. I was happy with the results but there were lot of problems with local digitizers, The main problem was for price, they charge a lot for their visits & sometimes it becomes unaffordable when I had jobs which should be done in low budget. Second problem was for the quality, I always need to struggle a lot with them to get the stitch out quality for client approval. The reason may be, they don't want to do hard work. After facing all these troubles, I made up my mind to try overseas digitizing, Then I starting work with few digitizing companies in India. I was happy with cheap pricing but quality & turnaround times were not acceptable for me. Sometimes I need job to completed in rush & the most difficult part was editing, I had to wait a lot for editing & minor corrections in designs. For few years, it was going okay but I keep on searching google to find a Digitizing company who can understand my requirements, give satisfactory results, offer fastest turnaround times with competitive prices. At last, I found a company name GliderDigitizing.com and forgot all my hassles related to embroidery digitizing. I been working with this company for last 6 years & I am 100% satisfied with their performance. These are very professional people who don't let their customers down. This company also grants permission to talk directly to digitizers who handle your jobs & give fast support for my files. Their all digitizers are very professional & also worked as a machine operator so they have helped me many times with the problem of embroidery machines. I prefer this digitizing company to all. They offer 5000 stitches free on first order. I am sure you if try their services once, You will forget about all hassles related to your embroidery digitizing. They also vector art services in lost cost. Just visit their website & find out more.
I will be glad to help anyone who needs my help related to embroidery business.

What? A shill for a puncher's service? I found that it was NECESSARY to learn how to punch (punching refers to the paper tapes the old geezers like me call creating digital stitch files) in order to do the most important thing to an embroiderer, and that is to control my own costs. In every case, I have found that any puncher who charges by the stitch will pack stitches.

Almost every embroidery operator has been burned by at least one digitizing service. It is very important to get ditch density and stitch length right. I can take just about and punching and show you just where to look for where you get ripped off.

The BEST way to find a good puncher is to learn and do it yourself. If that is not an option, I suggest you at least take a seminar the next time you go to one of the trade shows. If you can't spend even that much time and travel, you really should find another way to make a living...

The biggest mistake when using an outside digitizer is to NOT control the parameters.

1)Don't pay by the stitch.
2)Always ask for condensed files along with stitch files. This makes your service think twice about packing stitches or cutting down stitch lengths.
3)ALWAYS try to have someone who digitizes take a look at your first outside produced condensed file to check for parameters of stitch density and stitch length.
4)Buy 30's thread in Black, Red, Royal and White. Make sure to tell your puncher to set their stitch density for the thicker thread. That alone will will save you 30% of the stitch count on those colors.
5)If you EVER see a part of a design that continues to break or fray threads, GET A NEW PUNCHER! That is a dead give away that the density is way too high.
6)If you spend over $1000 in a year on punching services, for GOD's SAKE BUY A PUNCHING SYSTEM!

If you could remove that and mine that mentions contacting you and maybe try to monitor this thread to keep it on topic that would be great!

Thanks!

hi gillgan
am tanji b. harliquin a digitizer and operator from nigeria. just join the forum today and will like to learn from the seniors.

agreed ... Never pay per stitch. Use flat rate digitizers only.

We do most of our digitizing in house, and I sub out our overflow if we start to get too backed up.

Also, find a digitzer that knows what its like to run production, as most of them have limited experience being in the "field" I find many digitizers are Trim happy, which grossly slows down production.

Just my $.02

Eric, you hit that nail on the head! My shop went bust at the turn of the millennium. At that time I had 251 heads that ran 24/7 for 358 days a year. Ran contract work from Carters, and Buster Brown to Nutmeg. People don't understand the fine detail of a punching until they put an outside punch file on a 15 head (or a 12 head for that matter). Thread breaks cost you big time. Bad punch file = more breaks...

So busy you had to create 2 more days in the year eh? ;)

Good thread here! Interesting. In my short time in this business, I've learned about digitizers, more than diditizing. For now, I don't have the time to sit down and learn digitizing, but I understand the concepts.

Price per stitch is bogus, and I won't pay that way. I have, but, every day that I'm in this business, I learn from my mistakes. I've already had several digitizers I've dropped due to "thread count loading", adding stitches to get their price up. Now, I'll find someone else. I equate the per stitch price with a lawyer charging a percentage for a court case, regardless of how much actual work is involved.

Flat rate is the only way to go, and of course, the follow up of how the design sews out in relation to thread count and the ease of sewing the design.

Flat prices can increase business for embroidery company as they have not to ask each time for digitizing quotes from digitizers

If you would like to order machine embroidery design, please, send request on e-mail: sales@embrostitch.com

Request should have the following information:

1. Picture for digitizing. You can use any format for picture, i.e. cdr, eps, ai, jpg, bmp, png. It is very important for us to have very clear picture with high resolution, to see all little details. If you don't have a picture or it is not clear, please describe details as thoroughly as possible.

2. Size of machine embroidery design, which you prefer. Size of embroidery machine hoop.

3. Fabric type, which you are going to use to embroider. It is important, as you use jersey or leather, we will make machine embroidery design specially for jersey or leather.

4. Embroidery design format or name of your embroidery machine.

We would like to ask you to provide as more details as possible about your order. It will help us to create design exactly as you want.

Price

We disagree with popular opinion: price depends on quantity of stitches!
We even would recommend not to use companies-developers, which calculate the price base on quantity of stitches. Most likely, such companies will make more stitches than necessary.

Price only depends on time to make design.

For example, recently, we digitized small, but complicated design. We got total, close to 2,000.00 stitches. It took 7 hours to complete the work. Next day, we digitized very simple, but large design. We got total over 30,000.00 stitches.
How much would cost first and second design, in your opinion?

Digitizing costs in average are $15. But if you would ask us to digitize your name with Arial Type, we will do it for you for free. If you would ask us to digitize photo, price will be much more than $15.

In any case, if you would like to inquire about exact price and time(usually, not more than 24 H), please, send us letter with all necessary information and details (see "How to order machine embroidery design"). Next step, you pay for design. And get digitized design not longer than in 24 hours after payment received (except weekend and holidays).

You can use the design as many times as possible. We will not make any restrictions on the design usage.

We look forward to make great designs for you!

I have used Embrostitch as my digitizer of choice several times. I have never had a problem with his designs and his turn around time is great. Price is very good. I feel very fortunate to have found him.

I have attached two pics. one is the image I sent him to be digitized, the other is a picture of the finished sew out. The customer was amazed.

My pricing is based on the complexity of the design. Been working with custom embroidery companies small to large, and they are happy with the price and quality of my work. I just started this business as my own (had worked for more than 15 years for someone), and understand the need of small custom embroidery companies in terms of price and quality of work. If you would like a sample to try, you can download it here: http://ragyud.com. Thanks for looking.
