Embroidery Machine Help

Hello Everyone -

I am interested in starting an embroidery business. I have been researching machine after machine and have read a lot of reviews.

Can any of you share your experiences with machines and offer suggestions on which ones are the best (durability, stitch quality, service, etc)?

Was looking at Ricoma, SWF, Happy, Highland ...

Thanks in advance I look forwards to all the pros and cons.

Definitely the middle two out of those four. Personally I would rather have an older Tajima than the middle two.

Ricoma is JUNK... I have a 6 head and I can't run a hat faster than 480 on Structured. They are not what they say they are and I am beyond devastated with the choice I made because I feel lied to on all levels. I asked if it would have the same quality as my Barudan and I was assured it would and it does not... I wanted to increase my production, but he has not done that for me.... Flats are fine, but Structured hats or ANY hats your are screwed.

Hi! I could honestly recommend the middle two and argue against the name on the left and the name on the right. To me, however, it really depends on which machine has service techs in your area. I am in Texas and I would hate to buy a machine where I had to fly and pay expenses for a tech in Denver for example. This is the reality of owning a machine for the first time as you do not know what you do not know. When I bought my first machine I ran the needles right into the frame. Needles are strong but they do not particularly like to go through metal or plastic BUT they will go right through bone.... careful of fingers!

Ask the sales rep about maintenance... can they come in 1 day or 10?
