Embroidery Website

My company is looking to create a website that is useful for an embroidery company. The problem is, we don't know where to start.

If you have any suggestions for a website, or an example site that you know of that would meet the needs of a business like this, please post it. Just looking for a starting place.

Thanks.

Can you be more specific? Would this be an information and/or ecomerce site? If its informational there are lots of topics that could be discussed. I would divide the site into two basic sections: embroidery and business.

For the embroidery section you could discuss and have links for how to embroider (hooping, use of backings, needles, threads, dealing with different fabrics) and reference sources such as trade shows, trade magazines, books, trade organizations, on line forums and email lists. You could also have information about vendors including machine, software, apparel, stock designs, backing, clamps, hooping devices, thread, patches and tackle twill. You could include machine reviews, tech tips and machine tech contact information. You could have businesses register as specialists in particular areas such as patches, tackle twill and contract embroidery and digitizing.

For the business section I would include information on the legal aspects of setting up a business( type of business entity, licenses, certificate of authority, sales tax), taxes and insurance. You could also have information on dealing with employees and salesmen, government bids and getting a loan. Information on marketing and advertising on a local and online level would also be helpful.

Our site was done by an overseas company. logofactory.com. If you are interested you can call me at 305-986-6400 and I will give you more details.
