Hi there;
I was wondering if anyone can suggest me, what's the best and cheap UPS battery to buy for a Roland Versacamm VS-640??
Thanks for your help!!
Re: Good an cheap UPS battery for Roland Verscamm VS-640?
I do computer repair/consulting as my first trade.
I'd recommend a CyberPower or APC (you can get a nifty LCD display that is nice)... I'd get one with AVR (Auto Voltage Regulation)... it takes anything from like 85 to 140v and smooths it out to 120v that way when you get some sketchy power down the line it fixes it.
That's what I send off shore because those guys run off large generators 24/7 and that power is wretched!

Thanks so much Gilligan for your reply, CyberPower sounds good to me, do you know how many VA/WA ? I saw one: CYBERPOWER CP1200AVR 1200VA/720W UPS WITH AVR, would this be okay, or do I need more or less VA/ WA?
Thanks again

It all depends on how much draw your device is and how long you want it to run.
I imagine that Versacamm doesn't take up too much... how long do you want to make sure it stays on for? I assume you mainly don't want it to cut out while printing... sitting idle it will probably last a real long time.
You will also need to make sure the computer and any networking gear in between stays powered up also right? How do you print, to that thing, via network or USB (assuming it has USB)?
