Hi,
I've been attempting to machine embroider a fill stitch design that had a successful first try, but all subsequent tries have resulted in a "rough" texture to the embroidery. I have not changed the thread or stabilizer used, but I have tried re-threading multiple times and changing the needle.
My specifics:
Fabric: Cotton Twill
Stabilizer: Stitch 'n Sew Tearaway Stabilizer (I've also tried Heat n Bond non-woven medium weight fusible interfacing; the first and only successful attempt used Stitch 'n Sew, but it messed up the next time I used it)
Thread: ThreadDelight 40wt
Machine: Brother SE425
Picture: The design on the right is how it should be, while on the left is how it subsequently turned out. There's several thread loops throughout the right.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I will provide additional details if needed.
Re: Help with fill stitch
sorry the image does not show the issue. they both look pretty similar. cut the loops? spray the cone with silicone spray? if it worked one time not sure why it would not be consistent. sorry.
looks extremely packed with stitches, maybe reduce density?

Re: Help with fill stitch
i can't really tell much from the picture either, but it sounds like your tensions are off to me if you're getting looping. first make sure your bobbin tension isn't too lose. once you have it right, if you're still getting looping, adjust your top tension slowly as its sewing until the loops disappear.

Re: Help with fill stitch
First, your top tension is too tight. The bobbin thread is showing on the top.
Second, looping occurs because of tension or take up spring tension.
Third, it appears your density is too high or your step satin is running the wrong direction for the design.
Are you able to adjust the digitizing?
