Hi,
I'm a self taught screen printer and brand builder and have been doing this for about 6 years now. I'm looking to expand into embroidery so that I can make custom hats for my brands and offer it as a service to others along with screen printing. I know nothing about embroidery, that's why I'm here. I need to learn which equipment to start off with (raised, 3d embroidery on snapback's and flat brim hat's is a must). I'm hoping to gain as much understanding as I can through this forum, so please bear with all the questions I will be asking.

Hi, just saw this post. I am raised on Barudan and highly recommend them. We do Puff embroidery on flatbills all the time at R&R. We use the puffy foam from Gunold USA in a 3mm for the best effect; not too thick, not too thin. Our favorite cap supplier at this time is Pacific Headwear. My employer has Tajimas but I do not prefer them and I absolutely hate the new laser safety feature on them. It is the biggest waste of time I have ever experienced and I do not know anyone in 27 years of embroidery who has sewn their hands or fingers. Hope my opinion is worth something; I'm sure there are die-hard Tajima fans here as well.
