I got scamed please read

Before you try to ruin somebody's reputation tell the whole story, like you signed a contract to buy equipment and put down payment on it and than didn't return his phone call for several months when he tried to call YOU, and than you called me, and I said I don't even know you so call Paul, well he call you back and said he would give you have of the deposit back, after all it was 8 months latter you finally called, So I think you are the problem not Paul, after all you left him hangin, and he is in the biuzz to sell equipment not hold it for 8 months!

Whole story .. Sieggy I think you are in cahoots with Paul .. you called me telling me how good the equipment was ...I have emails and text messages I have saved from Paul saying how he gave my deposit to the equipment owner and now he was gone ..closed shop .. but not to worry he would make good on my deposit( whole deposit not half) ... he said give me your account number and I will deposit money in your account, gave me 3 or 4 different time frames which he did not keep, also would never give me the name and phone number of person who supposedly had equipment so I could verify his story..... would you like me to post those ( they are very revealing) ask Paul ! , I would be more than happy to .. also you are so misinformed , Paul would not return my phone calls ( he was in the loop the whole way, and I have phone records to prove that as well ) , also you forgot to mention when I called you looking for Paul and you hung up on me ! Hold equipment ? he never had the press ... I have given Paul Belick more than enough time to make this right , 2,000 dollars is alot on money to me ..things are tight for all of us and to have people like Paul taking advantage of us is wrong. So this is pretty much it as you Sieggy like to hear the Whole Story ...and please let me know if you would like me to post text messages from Paul ..

I've tried searching for a member named jender and there is nobody of that name on this site ever. Do you have his member name spelled correctly?

I've also dealt with Paul B. and everything was right, he seemed like a straight up guy. This isn't the first time someone has accused Paul of wrongdoing on this site so it warrants looking into further. I did trust him to do what he said he was going to do but you know the old saying "where there is smoke, there is fire" so I'll see what I can come up with on my end. I don't like to see this happening on this site but I know it's not something that can be completely done away with due to the trusting nature of people in general, and the fact that there are bad people out there trying to rob others.

Paul hasn't been on this site since June and his last post was back in April, he was pretty active here for a while and now he's not so that is a red flag in my opinion.

Thank You for looking into it .. I also thought Paul B was a good guy , he came to my shop in Florida and I believed he was a straight up guy. That's why I gave him so much time to do the right thing. As far as Sieggy is concerned , not really sure why he comes to Paul's rescue when he has no idea what was said. Paul should answer for himself , as he is the one who did this... You are correct , it is a shame that trusting people have to deal with this.. Sieggy , Paul should be more concerned about the Police and the Lawsuit , please tell him that as he does not answer my phone calls or texts..

I'm wondering if maybe the OP meant "jenko" as we all know who jenko is and the trail of destruction he's left in his wake. Has anyone seen or heard of the infamous Jason Rodriguez? I remember getting a message from his wife hammering me about how we shouldn't be trying to ruin someone's business reputation on this forum. I saw the number of people that were looking for him and knew a few that had gotten scammed by him so there was a good reason we were talking bad about the guy.

I'm almost positive the guys that have ripped people off here still visit the site from a different member name or just lurk to find their next victim.

If I were to make a major purchase like that from someone other than a reputable dealer I would have to go see it in person to make sure that it is in fact what I am purchasing and that it works. I work too hard for my money to **** it away. So it costs more to go look at it, at least I won't get scammed.

The previous post is right on the mark. Would you buy a car for a few grand without looking at it? It's the same money but some buyers don't have enough time for inspection. Look before you buy unless you don't need the money.

The only person to go to for used equipment is Bill Foust. If his name is behind it you know you can trust it.

sorry for your loss already, but according to these posts admin just got the correct username YESTERDAY? so give them some time, they have real businesses to run as well. I just don't see the reason to attack them when it hasn't been correct info for 24 hours yet.

This site is not like Ebay where Ebay has some liability to protect buyers and sellers. Here you are on your own and have to take the risk, no different than craigs list or a classified out of the news paper. The admins here arre not going to be able to provide much of anything useful to you, it seems you probably know more about this fellow than this site does. What the admin can do is red flag the guy and keep an eye open for them in case they try to scam again. Also the admin can probably get their IP and their actual location so if in the future a new user looks fishy they can compare IP's.

Something I thought about since this thread grew legs is why not offer X amount of money to a local screen printer in the area of the equipment for sale, ask them to make an unbiased assessment of the equipment. They would have nothing to gain or lose except for a few extra bucks in their pocket.

I just checked my private messages inbox going back to January and you've never sent me anything. Did you send it via email or private message through this forum? I don't know who you've sent pm's to but it sure wasn't me. And "jennder" joined the site on September 2 and was last on here on Oct. 1 and has zero posts. I can't tell you much more than that really. I know where he was when he signed up but with proxy servers and what not, a criminal would be pretty damn dumb to leave an IP trail like that.

I understand your frustration, I have been through a similar transaction except I received my goods but they were not what I was told I was getting. Got screwed out of $2,000. Everyone needs to be very careful buying things online!

If it is the same guy/deal on Ebay you should quickly inform Ebay before someone else gets the shaft.

Just a thought, when asking for pictures of proof of shipping, a picture of some guy standing next to a crate is a red flag, require a picture of the actual product inside the crate itself. As someone said the picture is a clear fake and photoshopped.

I also got scammed from Paul Belick from Atlanta Georgia .. a equipment broker on here .. gave him a 2,000 dollar deposit for an automatic .. buyer beware .. I learned my lesson

Personally I think no one should ever pay upfront to an unknown seller, not even a deposit.

If the buyer can't see the equipment in person to evaluate but purchases anyway, then it's the buyer's problem. Upon receipt used of equipment, if the items do not match the pictures or what was expected then the seller is at fault, of course at that point what recourse do you have? In most cases, probably none.

With an unknown seller there should be a third party method used for the funds until the equipment is delivered like a COD. Until the equipment is delivered to your door, your money is at risk.

Both parties would have to agree to alternate terms of course. If an unknown seller won't agree to a method of payment other than cash upfront, then I think the buyer really needs to be extra careful about who it is they are dealing with before putting money down. Maybe in some cases this should be your wake up call that the deal is just not worth it.

It's risky to buy sight unseen, it's even riskier to pay upfront and buy sight unseen, of course that is obvious to many of us but people still do it just to save a few $ and get screwed.

Be careful folks, there are thieves everywhere.

This is an important topic for a classified site, maybe the MODS could publish a sticky of guidelines for buying used, things to do, things not to do, how to best protect yourself on both ends.
