I need a machine that will do leather and an area up to and over 12" by 12". It also needs to except designs from a PC. I'm not looking for a machine that cost thousands of dollars. Can someone point me in the right direction? I have very little knowledge of these things but my business is in need of one.

If you want professional results you will have to spend thousands of dollars. If you try to do it the cheap way, you will get poor results, and have to buy a better machine later. Just do it right the first time. Get a professional machine used.

I agree. The only way you can even attempt a 12 x 12 area is with a commercial grade machine. And if you have never embroidered before, I certainly wouldnt suggest you make your first attempts on some expensive leather.
